Texas Tech (8-0) led by as many as 25 points.
Sam Houston (1-6) shot 44 percent in the first half, but just 11 percent after the break when the Bearkats made only four baskets.

The Lady Raiders played without forward Dominic Seals in the first half, when she sat on the bench in street clothes and nursed a sore foot. But with Tech trailing, Seals left the bench before halftime to suit-up, and she was in the line-up when Tech began the second half.
Seals, the team's second-leading scorer on the season, had two points and one rebound in nine minutes.
