HOUSTON (AP) - Angie Braziel scored 20 points to lead No. 14 Texas Tech to an 84-70 victory over Wisconsin on Saturday in the first round of the Gene Hackerman Rice Invitational tournament.

Braziel scored 13 of her points in the second half as the Lady Raiders (5-1) took a 22-point lead. Wisconsin (4-3) cut the margin to 10 points with 1:21 left.

The Lady Raiders led by as much as 15 three times in the first half as Julie Lake and Melinda Schmucker scored 10 points each in the first 20 minutes.

Keitha Dickerson added 15 points, Schmucker had 13 and Lake 12 for Texas Tech.

LaTonya Sims scored 19 to lead Wisconsin.
