Red Raiders Crush UPEP, 82-48

EL PASO, Texas - Angie Braziel registered 20 points, 11 rebounds and four blocks in just 25 minutes as seventh-ranked Texas Tech demolished Texas-El Paso, 82-48.

Alicia Thompson scored 16 points and Julie Lake chipped in 14 and six boards for the Lady Red Raiders (5-1), who owned a 48-32 rebounding edge and forced 23 turnovers.

Kanequa Chancellor had 15 points and seven rebounds and was the only player to score in double figures for the Miners (3-3). She made just 1-of-6 free throws and UTEP was 8-of-20 from the foul line.

Rene Hanebutt chipped in 11 points and seven rebounds for Texas Tech, which grabbed a 45-25 halftime lead and cruised from there.
