No. 14 Lady Raiders Hope To Continue Dominance Over Texas A&M Saturday

LUBBOCK, Texas (AP) - Texas Tech hopes to continue its dominance of Texas A&M when the teams meet Saturday at the Reed Arena in a Big 12 contest.
The 14th-ranked Lady Raiders (15-2, 4-2), who have won four straight overall after dropping two of three, hold a 39-8 advantage in the all-time series with the Aggies (9-8, 1-6).
The last Aggies' win was a 78-73 triumph on Feb. 8, 1995 in College Station.
Texas Tech relies on a stifling defense, which allows just 53.0 points per game to rank third in the nation.
Pierson leads the team with 13.9 points per game. The 6-foot-1 forward, who grabbed a career-high 11 rebounds in Texas Tech's 76-56 home win over Kansas on Jan. 22, has scored in double figures in 12 of the team's 17 games.
Johnson led the Lady Raiders with 21 points against Kansas and is second on the team with 13.2 points per game.
Texas A&M has lost six straight games and will also be looking to snap a six-game losing streak in conference games.
Jaynetta Saunders paces Texas A&M in scoring with a 15.1 average. In her last outing, she scored 22 points, grabbed nine rebounds and blocked four shots in a 79-72 home loss to Oklahoma on Wednesday.
Prissy Sharpe is the Aggies' leading rebounder with 9.0 per game and is second on the team with 13.6 points per outing.
The Aggies have lost by an average margin of 11.1 points during their losing streak.
