Tech Outlasts TCU To Win Fourth Straight
Texas Tech senior guard Chynna Brown scored a career-high 23 points and grabbed 12 rebounds for her first career double-double to help lead Texas Tech to a 53-42 win over TCU.

Tech (17-6, 7-4 Big 12) is off to its best start in Big 12 play under head coach Kristy Curry and can notch Big 12 win No. 8 in a season for the second time in the last three years. Tech went 8-8 in 2011 and found its way into the NCAA Tournament.

The Lady Raiders played a physical game Wednesday night against West Virginia, outdoing the Mountaineers in the second half as they hit 36 free throws on their way to a 76-63 win at United Spirit Arena.

Senior guard Casey Morris hit the final six free throws in the game and was a perfect 9-for-9 from the line as she led four Lady Raiders in double figures with 20 points. It was the second time Morris has scored 20 or more this season.

TCU (7-14, 0-10) is still searching for its first Big 12 Conference win after falling to No. 22 Oklahoma State, 76-59, on Tuesday.

Brown scored 18 points in Wednesday's win for her 15th overall game in double digits this season. Brown has scored in double figures 11 times in the last 12 games and is averaging 15.7 points in Big 12 play (No. 4 in Big 12). Brown now has 958 career points.
