LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech women's basketball student-athlete junior Jordan Murphree was named to the CoSIDA ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District VI second team. The Lady Raider was one of 10 student-athletes, five first team and five second team, to be honored.

Murphree, a native of Brock, Texas, is a second-time honoree who has a 3.60 GPA and is majoring in exercise and sport sciences. Murphree also received second-team honors last season.

In order to be nominated for Academic All-District and All-America honors, a player must be a starter or important reserve, must have a 3.30 cumulative grade-point average and must have completed at least one full academic year at her institution. Voting is done by members of CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America).
