LUBBOCK, Texas -- Texas Tech will go for its sixth season sweep and sixth win in its last seven games when it takes on Kansas State at 12:30 p.m. CT at Bramlage Coliseum in Manhattan.
Tech (21-7, 11-5 Big 12) is looking for its 22nd regular season win and 12th Big 12 Conference win - both of which would be the most under head coach Kristy Curry.
The Lady Raiders have won three straight including a 72-70 road win at Kansas on Feb. 24.
Kansas State (13-15, 4-12) will celebrate its senior day after falling in a close game vs West Virginia, 60-57, led by senior guard Brittney Chambers who is averaging almost 20 points per game.
Tech won the first meeting between the two schools this season in Lubbock, 59-50 and will go for its third win in a row over the Wildcats. Tech would probably like to gain the same outcome without of the drama of the last few contests between the two schools. Four of the last six contests have been decided by two points or less or gone into overtime.
On the line for the Lady Raiders - a share of second place in the Big 12 Conference and guaranteeing them at least the No. 3 seed in the Big 12 Championship next week in Dallas.
