Lady Raiders No. 6 Seed in Phillips 66 Big 12 Championship

LUBBOCK, Texas - The seeds for the 2011 Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship have been announced. Texas Tech finished sixth in league play and will be the No. 6 seed in the championship and will face No. 11 seed Oklahoma State on Tues., March 8, at 7:30 p.m.
The event will be held Tuesday-Wednesday and Friday-Saturday, March 8-9 & 11-12 in Kansas City's Municipal Auditorium.
Baylor completed the conference season with a 15-1 record and are 28-2 overall and are the No. 1 seed..
BU earns a first-round bye along with No. 2 seed Texas A&M, No. 3 Oklahoma and No. 4 Kansas State.
Other seeds include 5. Iowa State, 6. Texas Tech, 7. Texas, 8. Kansas, 9. Colorado, 10. Missouri, 11. Oklahoma State and 12. Nebraska.
The Phillips 66 Big 12 Women's Basketball Championship returns to Municipal Auditorium for the 10th time in Conference history. Kansas City hosted the first six women's postseason events from 1997-2002, in addition to the 2005, 2008 and 2009 championships.
All-session tickets are $90 for lower-level seating and $72 for upper level. Single-session tickets are also on sale for $20 lower level and $15 upper level. Tickets are available at Ticketmaster.com, by calling 800-745-3000 or at the Municipal Auditorium Box Office.

In addition, exclusive postgame coverage of the Championship trophy ceremony can be found on Saturday, March 12. The broadcast will include the annual showing of the Big 12's basketball highlight video, Live Your Dreams.
First round games will be televised by Metro Sports in Kansas City while the quarterfinals through the final will be aired on FSN.
A new element to the Championship will feature semifinal teams matching wits in a trivia challenge Thursday, March 10 at 5:00 p.m. CT on the KC Live Stage in the Power & Light Entertainment District. Trivia teams will include coaches, student-athletes and fans participating in "Full Court Pressure," hosted by television analyst Debbie Antonelli.
