WACO, Texas - Texas Tech University head women's basketball coach Marsha Sharp was honored recently by the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches as its College Coach of the Year. Coach Sharp was elected to this honor in balloting done by the 3000-member group and was recognized at the association's annual clinic in San Antonio, Texas on May 4. This marked the third time in the past 10 years for coach Sharp to receive the TABC honor.

The Texas Association of Basketball Coaches is an organization whose members are composed primarily of coaches from the middle school and high school ranks with strong support from the college arena.
