LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech University has started its preparations for the 2009 NCAA Women's Basketball Championship First and Second Rounds it will be hosting in Lubbock Sun., March 22, and Tues., March 24.

Tech has launched a website, http://texastech.cstv.com/marketing/wbb-ncaa.html, with information pertaining to the NCAA Championship. Fans can order tickets online today for the first and second rounds in Lubbock.

"We are thrilled that Texas Tech has been selected as one of the host sites for this exciting event, which will provide great exposure to the city of Lubbock and to the great state of Texas," said head coach Kristy Curry. "We encourage women's basketball fans of all ages to be a part of this exciting event."

Tickets are $35 for adults and $15 for students and are for all three games - two on Sunday (March 22) and one on Tuesday (March 24). Student prices are for people ages 18 and under as well as college students. College students must present a valid student identification card.

Throughout the season the website will be updated with any new information regarding the NCAA Championship.
