Day 4 - Vancouver, Canada|
Aug. 11, 2010
Hey Lady Raider Nation!
Day four of our journey in Canada is complete. We had another great breakfast followed by a day on the town in Vancouver. Some of our fans went to Stanley Park to sightsee. The majority of the group, however, shopped in downtown Vancouver on Robson Street. Robson Street is filled with shops, many of which we discovered are extremely pricey!
Another popular shopping area is Gastown. This is a historical part of Vancouver with many souvenir shops. I found some things to bring home to my family here, but I am trying to save my money for Whistler and Victoria, too!
After resting and having some lunch, it was time for game number three. We had about an hour drive to the University of the Fraser Valley. It was a bit of a slow start, but we had a strong lead at half time. Our defensive pressure once again busted the game wide open to a 20-point lead. We continued to command the lead and came out with a big win, 37 points. Antiesha Brown had a great game as she scored 16 points. Kierra Mallard had 13 points and Christine Hyde had 10. It's now 3-0 for the Lady Raiders!
Tomorrow we will hit the road for Whistler. We will have many different options of things to do during the day, some of which include zip lining, water rafting, paint ball, or kayaking! Tomorrow will definitely be an adventure.
Thanks for all your support. Wreck 'em!
