Big 12 All-Stars Finish European Tour with 5-1 Record|

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Big 12 All-Stars wrapped up their European tour with an 84-54 win over the Nerike Basketball Club in Orebro, Sweden. Texas Techs senior guard Melinda Schmucker scored 15 points in the final three games of the trip.
On Aug. 10, the All-Stars handed the Helsinki Panthers a 100-70 defeat. Oklahoma States Devon Magness recorded a double-double with 10 points and 13 rebounds. Missouris Tracy Franklin had a team-high 13 points, while Iowa States Megan Taylor and Oklahomas Phylesha Whaley each scored 12. Techs Schmucker scored eight points, including two three-point baskets.
The All-Stars were again victorious over the Norrkoping Flamingos of Norrkoping, Sweden, 97-75. Kansas States Nicky Ramage led the team with 14 points, while Taylor added 12. Kansas Jaclyn Johnson was the top rebounder with nine boards. Schmucker contributed five points with one three-point and a team-high six assists. She also added two steals.
In the win over the Nerike Basketball Club on Aug. 13, Johnson finished with 11 points, while Magness and Ramage each poured in 10. Texas A&Ms Prissy Sharpe grabbed eight rebounds. Schmucker added two points in the finale.
The Big 12 All-Stars finished its European tour with a 5-1 record, averaging 89.7 points per game in the six contests.
