Sept. 18, 2012
LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech women's basketball fans will have to wait until Nov. 18 to see the Lady Raiders in action for their first regular season home game, but can get their hands on season tickets beginning today.
To celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Lady Raiders' National Championship, all women's basketball season tickets are priced at only $93! Some sections will require an additional Annual Seat Contribution (ASC) of $120.
"We wanted to give fans a great price and the chance to be a part of something special this year," Tech head coach Kristy Curry said. "They get to relive the greatest moment of this program's long history and be a part of history in the making with our team this season."
The package includes 17 regular season home games, including the 20th anniversary game at 2:30 p.m., Feb. 17 against Texas. Members of the 1993 NCAA Championship team will be honored throughout the weekend and during the game against the Longhorns.
Benefits to purchasing season tickets in ASC areas include retaining the same seat location every year, email notification to advance purchase concert tickets, reduced cost for parking, access to Club Red, and concession coupons. For those that have previously purchased the three point option in a section that does not have a required ASC, you will still have the opportunity to enjoy the benefits listed above by paying the $120 ASC.
Full-time, benefits eligible TTU faculty and staff can purchase season tickets at a 15% discount off the regular price. That makes faculty/staff season tickets for Lady Raider Basketball only $80. New this season, Texas Tech Athletics is allowing a minimum purchase of six season tickets at this discounted price, an increase from just two season tickets last year.
Continuing the promotion from football, group season tickets are also available. Purchase 20 or more season tickets and receive a 20% savings off the full price ticket. Businesses wishing to take advantage of this special offer should contact the Athletics Ticket Sales office at (806)742-8300.
