Big 12 Promotional Tour Continues

DALLAS, Texas - Texas Tech's Marsha Sharp will be one of five Big 12 basketball coaches heading to Los Angeles Monday, Oct. 4, to promote the upcoming basketball season. The west coast stop is the second for the league as five women's and men's coaches visited ESPN studios last week.

Men's basketball coaches Ricardo Patton of Colorado, Kelvin Sampson of Oklahoma, and Roy Williams of Kansas and women's coaches Bill Fennelly of Iowa State and Sharp will tour and conduct interviews with FOX Sport Network Monday afternoon. Following, the group, which will also consist of Big 12 Commissioner Kevin Weiberg and Associate Commissioner Dru Hancock, will meet with local and national media in the Los Angeles area promoting the upcoming season.

"The goal of these trips is to get to know the national media and help promote the upcoming season," Big 12 Director of Basketball Operations Kim Anderson said. "Our trip to Bristol accomplished just that. We made some great connections out there and plan on doing the same in Los Angeles next week."

FOX Sport Network is entering its fourth year airing Big 12 women's basketball. The network, both nationally and regionally, has played a major role in televising men's basketball as well for the Big 12.
