Texas Tech Single Game Basketball Tickets On Sale|
Oct. 31, 2011
The Texas Tech basketball season is set to get underway and single game tickets are now available to the public.
The season tips off on Nov. 11 when fans will have a chance to watch a basketball double-header as the men's and women's basketball teams begin their seasons inside the United Spirit Arena.
The women's team, under sixth-year head coach Kristy Curry, is coming off of an appearance in the NCAA Tournament and will tip off at 6 p.m. against New Mexico. Following the women's game, fans will have the opportunity to witness the first game of the Billy Gillispie era when the men's team tips off against Troy at 8:30 p.m.
Fans will have the opportunity to watch 15 men's home games inside the United Spirit Arena, including four against Associated Press Preseason Top 25 teams. The slate includes a 6 p.m. match up on ESPN2 against No. 20 Texas A&M on Feb. 14.
The women's team is coming off of its most successful season under Curry after reaching the First Round of the NCAA Tournament last year. It marked the Lady Raiders' first trip to the NCAA Tournament since the 2004-05 season.
The Lady Raiders will face five Associated Press Preseason Top 25 teams in Lubbock this season, including a highly anticipated non-conference match up with No. 12 Penn State on Dec. 3 at 2 p.m.
