Lady Raiders Ranked in Associated Press Top 25
Nov. 7, 2000 LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Lady Raiders are ranked 16th in the preseason top 25 poll by the Associated Press. Yesterday, the Lady Raiders were picked 13th by the USA Today/ESPN Preseason Coaches poll. Being ranked in the top 25 in both those polls marks the 155th straight week that Tech has been in a top 25 poll since January 20, 1992. Texas Tech will see its first action this Thursday at 7 p.m. as it plays its first exhibition game of the season against Delta Kosice (Slovakia). Tech's final tune-up before opening the regular season will be an exhibition game against the Houston Jaguars next Wednesday, Nov. 15 at 7 p.m. Texas Tech will open up the 2000-01 season on Nov. 20 as it hosts Texas-Arlington at 7 p.m. at the United Spirit Arena.
