LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women’s basketball team is preseason ranked 22nd by the Associated Press top 25 poll released today. This is the fifth preseason ranking for the Lady Raiders as they were ranked 13th by the Women’s Basketball News Service, 15th by Athlon Sports College Basketball Magazine, 22nd by The Women’s Basketball Journal and 23rd by the USA Today/ESPN coaches poll.

Three of Tech’s opponents this year and three possible opponents were selected as one of the top 25 teams by coaches, UCLA (fifth), Iowa State (seventh), North Carolina (ninth), LSU (13th), Kansas (18th) and Nebraska (24th)
