Texas Tech Takes on Michigan in Brooklyn|
Texas Tech will play two games at the Barclays Center in Brookly, N.Y., this weekend.

BROOKLYN, N.Y. -- The Texas Tech women's basketball team gets their first road test of the season on Friday as the Lady Raiders take on Michigan in the opening game of the Barclays Center Women's Invitational at 9:30 a.m. CT.
The game will play as a neutral site game for Tech but be the first test away from United Spirit Arena.
Tech (3-1) is coming off an 86-68 win on Saturday over Grambling after losing its first game of the season to Arizona State.
The Lady Raiders have relied on a young lineup to drive the team through its first four games. The freshmen five of Marina Lizarazu, Minta Spears, Diamond Lockhart, Jasmine Caston and Ivonne CookTaylor have been crucial in each aspect for Tech. The five freshmen have accounted for 154 of 297 points this season (51.9 percent). Spears, Lizarazu, Lockhart and Caston have each earned starts this season as well with Spears starting all four games.
Michigan (4-2) rides a three-game winning streak into Friday's matchup with Tech. The Wolverines beat Pittsburgh in their last contest, 83-75, on Nov. 20. This will be the first matchup between the Tech and Michigan since they met 10 years agao at a Thanksgiving tournament in Dallas on Nov. 28, 2003. Tech won 74-61.
The Lady Raiders will play either the winner or loser of the LSU-Rutgers game on Saturday at either 6:30 or 8:30 p.m. CT.
