Texas Tech Women's Golf Tenth at Stanford
Lady Raiders Close Out Fall Season
STANFORD, Calif. -- Wrapping up the fall season, the Texas Tech women's golf team finished 10th in the Stanford Women's Intercollegiate. San Jose State coasted to an 11-shot victory
Tech posted rounds of 306-317-314=937 to finish one shot ahead of Big 12 foe Oklahoma State. Host Stanford was second at 892, UCLA was third at 920 and Tulsa fourth at 925. Southern California and Indiana, both at 928, tied for fifth.
Sophomore Beth Covington finished in a tie for 16th, shooting rounds of 80-74-74 for a nine-over-par 228. San Jose's Janice Moodie claimed a two-shot victory for individual honors with a 10-under-par 209. Stanford's Mhairi McKay was second at eight-under 211.
Also for Texas Tech, Senior Tamara Parker tied for 18th at 10-over 229 (76-78-75). Sophomore Brooke Lowrance tied for 38th at 239, junior Kristin Kight tied for 44th with 241 and junior Amy Marsh tied for 63rd with 251.
