High School:

Saw limited action in three tournaments in the spring season ... finished a career-best 16th place at the Northern Migration Invite as she shot a season- best 71 in the second round ... ended the spring season with a 77.2 average per round.

Competed in four tournaments, including the Big 12 Championships hosted at the Texas Tech Rawls Course ... turned in an 18th place finish at the Mountain View Collegiate in which she shot 5-over par (76-70-75) ... at that same tournament she established a new career low round with a second day score of 70 ... tied for 31st with teammate Ulrika van Niekerk at the Canes & Cardinal Classic in Miami.

After sitting out the spring, Smith returned to play in the fall of 2008 and made the roster in five tournaments ... average a 77.1 stroke average over 15 rounds ... had her best outing at the Challenge at Wolfdancer as she ended up 23rd overall after shooting a three round score of 234 (79-76-79).

Did not compete.

In her first season as a Red Raider Smith competed in two events with a stroke average of 79.16...her best finish came at the Pat Bradley tournament, where she tied for 24th place... also shot her lowest score of the season, 74, at this tournament.

Advanced to Women's Amateur Pub Links and to the second stage of the women's U.S. Open qualifier, two years in a row ... in 2004, at the Taylor Made-Adidas Golf Junior at The Woodlands, shot a 79 ... in 2003, Taylor Made-Adidas Golf Junior at Bentwood, shot a 75.

Attended Tomball High School in Tomball, Texas ... was first in district all four years ... all district her junior year ... was a bronze medalist in State Championship her junior year ... also played basketball and was on the student council

Born July 12, 1989 in Houston, Texas ... daughter of Warren and Anne Smith ... father graduated from Western Michigan and works as a salesman for ABF freight ... mother graduated from Boston College and is now a teacher ... she has two sisters, Christine and Jenny ... aunt, Sally Quinlan, played in the LPGA ... majoring in landscape architecture.
