SPRING 2008 (JUNIOR)
Played in five of the team's seven events during the season, carding a stroke average of 77.13... notched her best performance of the year at the Mountainview Invitational with a season-low 219 (plus three) to finish tied for fourth overall... recorded a career-low 69 during the event's third round... finished third on the team at the NCAA Central Regional where she fired a 231 (plus 15) and finished tied for 55th.
FALL 2007 (JUNIOR)
Competed in five events this fall with a stroke average of 76.46...she had two top 10 finishes and 4 top 20 finishes this season...Soto's best finish came at the McHaney/Morehead tournament where she tied for seventh place...she also shot her season low of 71 at this tournament...her other top 10 finish came at the Partarmigan Ram Fall Classic where she tied for ninth place with a score of five over par.
Started each of the four fall tournaments and closed out the season with a team-best second-place finish at the GSU/Pelican Invitational...scored 72-71-74 during the GSU/Pelican and was a key part of Tech's team victory...her second-round 71 was a career-low 18-hole score and she was the only player to score under 75 in each of the three rounds of an event this fall...finished the season with a scoring average of 75.75 second to Megan Dowdy amongst Lady Raiders to have competed in more than two events ... followed a solid fall campaign with an excellent spring season by beating her personal best, 71, from the fall with a two-under par 70 at the Mountain View Collegiate Tournament, the best round for any Lady Raider at that tournament ... posted her best finish of the spring at the Baja Classic where she tied for 15th place ... her top 20 finish at the Big 12 Championship was her second of the spring and placed her second among the Lady Raiders for that tournament ... finished spring season with three top twenty finishes in her career.
In the final event of the fall, the Kent Youel Invitational, Soto posted a 232 to finish in a tie for 28th... Took part in six spring events... Finished in a tied for 35th at the UCF Invitational, turning in rounds of 78-80--158... Shot scores of 79-78-79--236 to finish in 38th at the Rio Verde Invitational... Had career-low round of 72 at the Big 12 Championship, also posting a career-low 36-hole score of 153 (72-81)... Ended freshman campaign with a 78.87 average.
Played for the Costa Rican Amateur team since 2001 ... Earned Player of the Years honors in 2004 ... Won the Central American Amateur Tournament in 2005 and was a Costa Rica National Champion in 2004.
Attended Pendleton High School in Bradenton, Fla. ... Took home first place individual honors at the Raptor Bay Tournament in 2004.
