Women's Golf Shoots Final Round 315, Finishes 13th

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's golf team completed play at the Central Regional Invitational in Parrish, Fla., earlier today. The Red Raiders shot a three-round total of 939 (320, 304, 315) to tie in 13th place with fellow Big 12 foe Missouri. Michigan State shot an 884 to win the tournament with 11 strokes ahead of Ohio State and Purdue who tied for second place. Bryan, Texas, native Jennifer Newhouse posted the seventh collegiate Top 20 finish of her career shooting a 10-over par 226 (78, 71, 77) to tie for 19th. Freshman Megan Hull moved up a spot and posted her second best finish as a Red Raider tying for 35th after shooting a 54-hole score of 231 (78, 76, 77). Teammate Jackie Ey struggled in the final round of play shooting a 16-over par 232 (80, 74, 78), dropping two spots to tie for 38th. The women's golf team will return to action next week as they travel to Bryan, Texas, to compete in the Texas A&M "Mo"morial tournament.
