LUBBOCK, Texas - Megan Hull (Mansfield, Texas/Mansfield) shot a team low 74 in the final round to lead Texas Tech to a seventh-place tie at the Texas A&M "Mo"morial Invitational at the Blackhorse Golf Club in Cypress, Texas, Tuesday.

Hull entered the final round of the 36-hole event in a 27th-place tie, but finished tied in 14th place with a two-round total of 153. Hull's finish is the third highest of her career and her second-best finish of the season.

Sheila Mendez (El Paso, Texas/Franklin) finished tied in 22nd place with a 156 (78-78), while Kim Kolb (Sioux Falls, S.D./O'Gorman) tied in 32nd place with a 158 (81-77). Jackie Ey (San Antonio, Texas/Churchill) and Hazel Tan (Sarasota, Fla./Bradenton Academy) finished tied in 49th and 84th places, respectively. Ey turned in a two-round total of 161 (80-81) and Tan posted a 172 (87-85).

The 62nd-ranked Lady Raiders, who tied with No. 33 TCU, finished ahead of five top 50 teams and five teams ranked ahead of Tech in the Central District standings, including Texas A&M and Nebraska.

Baylor won the team title by seven strokes over Arkansas. Tulane, Indiana, Kansas State and Illinois finished third through sixth, followed by the Lady Raiders and TCU. Texas A&M claimed the ninth spot, while Kent State and Nebraska tied for 10th.

North Carolina State, Northwestern, BYU and Louisville were 12th through 15th, while UTEP, Kentucky, SMU and McLennan CC rounded out the field of 19 teams.

The Lady Raiders next compete in the Anteater Invitational March 10-11 at Coto de Caza Golf & Racquet Club in Irvine, Calif. UC Irvine will host the event.
