LUBBOCK, Texas - With a first round team score of 294, the No. 46 Texas Tech Women's Golf team finds itself in a tie for sixth place at the 2010 UNLV Spring Invitational at Boulder Creek Golf Club in Boulder City, Nevada.

The Lady Raiders, tied with Portland State, currently sit at 6-over (294) and are 13 strokes behind tournament leader UNLV. Missouri and Baylor are just ahead of Tech at fourth and fifth place, respectively.

Senior Rosalyn Kim and freshman Kimberly Kaufman paced Texas Tech in the first round as they currently sit in a tie for 20th after posting first round scores of 73 (1-over). Junior Alex Gibson and freshmen Beverly Mendoza and Gabby Dominguez are just eight spots behind at No. 29 after posting first round scores of 74 (2-over).

Texas Tech will tee off tomorrow morning at 9:30 a.m. (CT) in the second round and will wrap up tournament play on Wednesday morning.
