LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech, looking for its second team title of the spring, enters the final round of the Anteater Invitational by one stroke over tournament host UC-Irvine at the Coto de Caza Golf & Country Club in Coto de Gaza, Calif.

Sophomore Megan Hull (Mansfield, Texas/Mansfield) turned in rounds of 74 and 73 Monday and is tied in second place with Michigan's Kim Benedict. Both are four shots back of tournament leader Elizabeth Allen of Cal State Northridge.

Sheila Mendez (El Paso, Texas/Franklin) also is among the top 10 in a ninth-place tie after shooting 77-76. Kim Kolb (Sioux Falls, S.D./O'Gorman) and Hazel Tan (Sarasota, Fla./Bradenton Academy) are tied in 18th place with a pair of 157s. Jackie Ey (San Antonio, Texas/Churchill) is tied in 44th place with a 167.

Michigan followed the Lady Raiders and host Anteaters in third place, while Cal State Northridge and Denver round out the top five. Iowa State, UC-Riverside, Boise State, Eastern Michigan and Kansas complete the top 10, while Austin Peay, Cal Poly SLO and CSU-San Marcos are 11th through 13th.

The Anteater Invitational marks the second of three events the Lady Raiders compete in on the west coast during the spring season. Tech won its initial visit in the spring opener at the Lady Aztec Spring Invitational in San Diego in February. The Lady Raiders' next event is scheduled in two weeks at the UCLA Bruin Classic in Los Angeles.

The final 18 holes of the event resumes this morning at 8 a.m. (PT).
