LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's golf team wrapped up its final round of play today dropping one spot to 13th place after shooting a three-round total of 994 (336, 327, 331) at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas. Duke University shot a 304 in the second round for a total score of 920 (297, 319) to hold onto its lead and win the title. Tournament host and No. 4 Texas took second place honors (923) while Oklahoma rounded out the top three teams shooting a total score of 929.

Junior Stephanie Dukes finished in the top 50 and tied for 39th after shooting a 32-over-par 245 (82, 82, 81) while teammate Jackie Ey shot a 36-over-par 249 (85, 82, 82) to drop into a tie for 54th. Senior Jennifer Newhouse struggled in the final round of play shooting an 88 for a total score of 253 to tie in 62nd place.

Red Raider Megan Hull remained in a tie for 65th after shooting a total score of 255 (89, 82, 84) while freshman Kim Kolb shot an 84 in the second round for a total score of 256 (85, 87, 84) to move up one spot tying for 67th.

The women's golf team heads next to the 2002 Tapatio Springs Shootout hosted by Baylor University in Boerne, Texas. The Red Raiders will compete in a 20-team field consisting of several top-ranked teams in the country with the first round of 18 holes beginning Thurs., March 28, at the Tapatio Springs Golf Resort.
