LUBBOCK, Texas - Sophomore golfer Rosalyn Kim fired an even-par 144 (72-72) to help put No. 46 Texas Tech in the title hunt with a plus-18 594 after two rounds at the Western Intercollegiate in Tuscon, Ariz. Saturday. The Lady Raiders currently sit in fourth place, just five strokes out heading into the final round.

No. 40 Oklahoma and No. 49 Indiana both have identical 13-over 589 scores to tie for the lead in the strong field. Missouri (591) is two strokes back in third, while Tech sits in fourth place in a tight pack just ahead of Nebraska, San Jose State and Louisville (595), who are all tied for fifth. No. 21 East Carolina (596) is right on the heels in eighth. Iowa State, Michigan, Colorado, Iowa State, Michigan, Colorado, Kansas State, Northwestern, Kansas, Colorado State, Baylor and Boise State round off the standings.

Coming off two good showings in their last two tournaments, including a program-best 869 over 54 holes in its last event, Tech continued right where it left off in the first 18 holes by carding a 293. Kim turned in an even-par 72 to lead the way, while junior Megan Dowdy and freshman Stephanie Smith both recorded identical 73's to put the Lady Raiders in fourth

The second 18 weren't as good as the first, but Tech still maintained its fourth-place position with a 301. Kim put in another round of 72 to come in tied for fourth, while Dowdy's (73-74 - 147) 74 put her in a tie for 13th. Smith (73-78 - 151) is tied for 31st. Robyn Scott (75-77 - 152) and Ulrika Van Niekerk (80-79 - 159), the Lady Raiders' hottest golfer over the last month, rounded off Tech's scoring.
