Texas Tech Tied For Fifth In Dallas|

DALLAS -- The Texas Tech women's golf team finished with a team total 307 on Friday in the first round of the SMU Dallas Athletic Club Invitational.
The Lady Raiders are in a three-way tie for fifth with No. 29 North Carolina and UT-San Antonio. They trail No. 40 Kansas by one shot and No. 17 Oklahoma State by two shots. No. 48 Baylor leads all teams after a 294 on Friday.
Junior Elin Arvidsson led the team with an even par 72 and is tied for second individually. She led the field for most of the way after birdies on holes 3 and 12 before bogeying two of the final three holes.
Junior transfer Stephanie Bertelsen once again played as Tech's consistent No. 2 player, shooting a 4-over par 76. She was one of only nine players in the 87-player field to birdie the par-4, sixth hole on Friday. Bertelsen is a nine-way tie for 18th individually.
Tech will play the second round on the Blue Course on Saturday and then finish the tournament on Sunday.
