LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech closed out the Susie Maxwell Berning Classic with a final round 316 to move into a fourth-place finish at the Jimmie Austin Golf Club in Norman, Okla., Tuesday afternoon. The top five finish was the third straight for the Red Raiders.

Jamie Vannoy (Sandy, Ore.) and Stephanie Dukes (N. Richland Hills, Texas) led the way for the Red Raiders. Vannoy posted her third top 10 performance of the season with a seventh-place finish, while Dukes also notched her third top 10 finish in eighth place. Baylor's Ali Brewer claimed the individual honors.

Nebraska won the team title, followed by Oklahoma, Baylor, Tech, Colorado, Colorado State, UTEP, Lamar, Kansas, Kansas State, Wichita State, Oral Roberts and Denver.

Tech's Jennifer Newhouse (Bryan, Texas) finished in a tie for 32nd, while Priscillia Hunt (Phoenix, Ariz.) and Melanie Hunt (Phoenix, Ariz.) finished tied in 40th and 48th places, respectively. Heather Wrede (Lake Forest, Ill.), who competed as an individual, finished tied for 36th.

The Berning Classic completes the regular season for the Red Raiders. Texas Tech hosts the 2000 Big 12 Championships Fri.-Sun., April 21-23, at the Lubbock Country Club.
