COLUMBUS, Ohio - Texas Tech sophomore Kimmy Hill carded a final round 3-over par 75 to help Texas Tech to finish in 10th place on Sunday at the Lady Buckeye Invitational at The Scarlet Course at Ohio State.
No. 59 Tech (320-308-312--940) finished in the top 10 for the fifth time this season. No. 28 Ohio State won its own tournament for the 13th time (303-298-291--892).
Hill (81-74-75--230) recovered well in her second and final round with a 74 and 75 after an opening round 81 on Saturday. She finished 1-under on her final nine holes with two birdies to tie for 15th individually.
Junior Elin Arvidsson (81-74-82--237) finished in a tie for 38th while senior Hannah Arnold (82-79-77--238) and junior Stephanie Bertelsen (79-81-78--238) both finished in a tie for 44th after playing close to each other in the final round. Redshirt freshman Victoria Uresti (79-82-85--246) finished in the top 60.
Tech will now have the next few days to practice before heading to Austin on April 23-27 for the Big 12 Championship at the UT Golf Club.
