LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech struggled in the first round of the Big 12 Conference Championships, firing an opening-round 329 to post an 11th-place standing. The Lady Raiders tee off in round two of the 54-hole event Tuesday morning at 8 a.m. at The Country Club of Missouri in Columbia.

Megan Hull (Mansfield, Texas/Mansfield) led Tech with an 8-over 80 and is in 25th place, followed by Kim Kolb (Sioux Falls, S.D./O'Gorman) in 33rd place with a first round 81. Sheila Mendez (El Paso, Texas/Franklin) and Jackie Ey (San Antonio, Texas/Churchill) are in 41st and 54th places, respectively, with rounds of 82 and 86, while Hazel Tan (Sarasota, Fla./Bradenton Academy) is in 59th place with a 90.

Missouri, the tournament host, leads the event by three strokes over Texas. Oklahoma State, Nebraska and Kansas State round out the top five, while Oklahoma, Baylor, Texas A&M, Kansas and Iowa State are sixth through 10th. Colorado is in 12th place.

Oklahoma State's Christi Cano fired a 73 and leads the event by one stroke over Nebraska's Sarah Sasse.
