Texas Tech Women's Golf Posts 15th Place Finish|

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - The Texas Tech women's golf team posted a team score of 934 to turn in a 15th place finish in its second tournament of the fall season at the Price's Give Em Five Intercollegiate in Las Cruces, N.M.
The Lady Raiders fired a team score of 308 in Tuesday's final round to improve their standing from 18th after the second round to 15th in the final results.
Senior Ashley Slavich completed the tournament with a final round score of 78 to give her the team's low scorecard at the event, a three-day total of 230 to finish in a tie for 40th place. Junior Marla Troester was Tech's next highest finisher, completing the tournament in a tie for 51st place with a total score of 233. Redshirt freshman Megan Dowdy turned in a three-round total of 233, while sophomore Valerie Tan fired a tournament score of 239. True freshman Ulrika Van Niekerk rounded out the Tech golfers with her strongest round of the tournament, a final round 76, to post a final tally of 243 strokes.
