LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's golf team shot a 17-over par 305 in round one at the Stanford/ Pepsi Intercollegiate in Palo Alto, Calif., for a 13th place tie Friday. Vanderbilt is currently leading the 17-team field with a 280.

Senior Jennifer Newhouse shot 72 to tie for 12th place while teammate Kim Kolb shot a four-over par 76 to tie in 45th. Megan Hull is tied for 53rd after shooting a 77 in round one. Stephanie Dukes and Jackie Ey are tied for 69th after shooting 80s.

Play will continue Saturday at 8:30 a.m.
