LUBBOCK, Texas - - The Texas Tech women's golf team shot a 919 to tie with San Jose State at the Stanford/Pepsi Intercollegiate in Palo Alto, Calif.

Finishing in a 13th-place tie senior Jennifer Newhouse shot a two-over par 218 (72,71,75), her career best 54-hole score. Stephanie Dukes shot a 230 (80,74,76) to tie in 55th place.

Jackie Ey finished in a 67th-place tie after shooting a 237 (80,80,77) while teammate Megan Hull finished in a 71st-place tie after shooting a 238 (77,83,78). In an 86th-place tie, Kim Kolb shot her lowest collegiate round of 76 in round one, finishing with a 249 (76,87,86).

Tulsa claimed top honors after shooting a 54-hole course record nine-under 855. Tulsa's Stacy Prammanasudh won the individual honors with a 203.

Tech will be back in action Feb. 25, 2002 at the Central Regional Invitational in Parrish, Fla.
