LUBBOCK, Texas - The second round of the Landfall Tradition was suspended Saturday after weather conditions caused by Hurricane Sandy forced Texas Tech into the clubhouse following the front nine.
The second round will resume at 8:30 a.m. CT Sunday morning with the final round set to immediately follow, pending weather conditions.
The Lady Raiders had dropped into a tie for fifth with Arizona prior to the suspension of play as Tech was currently 13-over on the round and 19-over for the tournament. Duke moved into the lead as the Blue Devils are 7-over, four strokes better than second-place Oklahoma State.
First-day leader Kim Kaufman struggled early in the tough weather conditions as the senior is 6-over through 11 holes, moving her into a tie for fifth overall with teammate Beverly Mendoza, who is 2-over on the round.
