Raiders Conclude Fall Slate with Third-Place FinishFinish is Best of Fall SeasonLAS CRUCES, N.M. - New Mexico State, claiming a wire-to-wire victory, beat Oklahoma State by two shots and Texas Tech by eight strokes in the Diet Coke-Roadrunner Invitational. Host New Mexico State fired a three-day, 54-hole total of 30-over 894 on the par 72, 6,100-yard University Golf Course. Oklahoma State overtook Texas Tech for second place with a final-round 292 and total of 896. Texas Tech, with its best finish of the fall season, concluded with a 902 to finish third. Texas (906) finished fourth, Missouri (915) sixth, Kansas (932) seventh, Oklahoma (938) ninth, Kansas State (945) 12th, Baylor (947) 13th, and Colorado (974) 15th. Texas Tech junior Brooke Lowrance fired a final-round 2-over 74 and finished tied for third with three others at 224, seven shots back from New Mexico State's A.J. Eathorne. Eathorne shot a 2-under 70 on Tuesday and coasted to a six-shot victory over Texas' Laura Blessey (220) with a 2-under 214. Red Raider Sophomore Jamie Vannoy and senior Kristin Kight tied for 12th at 226. Freshman Priscillia Hunt tied for 20th at 229. Junior Beth Covington tied for 55th with a three-day total of 239. Sophomore Heather Wrede, who was playing as an individual, tied for 29th with a 231.
