LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech Women's Golf team maintained their seventh place standing today through the second round of the 2010 Lady Puerto Rico Classic at the Coco Beach Resort in Rio Grande, Puerto Rico.

After firing a first round score of 303 on Sunday, the squad dropped three strokes and finished today's round with a score of 300 and sits in a seventh place tie with No. 38 Northwestern.

"I have been proud of our effort the last couple of days," said Texas Tech head coach JoJo Robertson. "We have played pretty well considering the few amounts of times we had to practice before coming out here. We are just three strokes out of fifth place right now so we should be in good shape if we have a good final round on Tuesday."

Leading the way for the Lady Raiders is freshman Kim Kaufman who presently sits in a tie for 16th place after posting rounds of 73 on Sunday and 74 earlier this morning. Kaufman sits 3-over with a two day total of 147.

Not far behind Kaufman is another Tech freshman, Gabby Dominguez, who is tied for 20th place with a two round score of 149 (74, 75) and is currently 5-over.

Texas Tech will conclude the Lady Puerto Rico Classic tomorrow morning with a 5:45 a.m. (CT) tee time. Complete results will be made available at texastech.com.
