LUBBOCK, Texas - The 19th-ranked Texas Tech University women's golf team opens the spring schedule Monday at UCLA's Pioneer Electronics/Bruin Classic at Menifee Lakes Country Club in Temecula, Calif.

Texas Tech will be one of 18 teams, including four Big 12 Conference squads, competing in the 54-hole tournament on the par 72, 5,435-yard layout Monday through Wednesday. In addition to Texas Tech and host UCLA, the field 1997 NCAA champion Arizona State as well as Tulsa, Pepperdine, San Diego State, Cal State Northridge, USC, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, BYU, Oklahoma, Nebraska, New Mexico, New Mexico State, Tennessee and Texas.
