Lubbock, Texas - The Texas Tech women's golf team stands in fourth place after the first round of the Third Annual Mountain View Collegiate in Tucson, Ariz. today.

The Raiders shot a combined score of 304 on the 5,921-yard, par 72 Mountain View Golf Course. Colorado leads the tourney at 297. Kansas State is behind Tech by one stroke as the 10-team field heads into round two.

Senior Priscilla Hunt shot 35 in the first nine and dropped to 38 in the back nine. This combined score of 73 is Hunt's best round of this season. Hunt's previous lowest round was 75, shot in the second round of the Comcast/Dick McGuire Inv. on Sept. 21, 2000.

Tech resumes play tomorrow at 8 a.m. concluding the tournament.
