Lubbock, Texas - The Texas Tech women's golf team finished in fifth place at the Third Annual Mountain View Collegiate in Tucson, Arizona held Feb. 24-25. This is the first tournament for the Red Raiders of the spring season.

The Red Raiders shot a combined score of 609 on the par 72 Mountain View Golf Course. The team shot 304 round one and 305 round two.

Sophomore Stephanie Dukes shot 76-74=150 tying her for ninth place. Junior Jennifer Newhouse shot a 152 with 76-76 tying her for 18th place. Senior Priscilla Hunt shot 73-81 with a total score of 154, tying for 23rd. Freshman Jackie Ey shot 79-77=156, tying her for 29th. Freshman Tamara Munsch shot 81-78 =159, tying for 41st place.

The University of Colorado won the tournament with a combined score of 609. Elise Carpenter of Kansas State won the event with a score of 145. Other Big 12 schools present were Kansas State who finished third, Colorado State in fourth and Iowa State finishing seventh.

The Red Raiders will play next in the Texas A&M "Mo"morial in Houston, Texas on March 5th.
