LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's golf team will look to defend its Mountain View Collegiate Invitational title this weekend as the 13-ranked Lady Raiders tee off the two-day tournament Friday morning at the Mountain View Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz.

The Lady Raiders took the 2012 team title with a seven-stroke advantage over Iowa State as Tech shot a 6-under 858 that was just two strokes shy of the school's 54-hole record.

Gabby Dominguez wrapped the tournament in third overall and Kim Kaufman followed a spot back in a tie for fourth. Dominguez trailed Jennifer Brumbaugh of San Jose State for medalist honors.

The tournament is being co-hosted by Missouri and Kansas State and will feature 36 holes on Friday followed with a final 18 on Saturday. Each day will begin with a 9:30 a.m. CT shotgun start.

Kansas State is the only Big 12 school in the 15-team field as the Lady Raiders will also be facing College of Charleston, Colorado State, Indiana, Iowa, North Texas, Northern Arizona, Redlands Community College, San Jose State, Texas State, North Carolina-Greensville, Wichita State and Wyoming.

This is Tech's third-straight tournament in the state of Arizona after claiming the team title at the Westbrook Spring Invitational on Feb. 24-25 and then finishing third at the Notre Dame Clover Cup last weekend.
