LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech women's golf team will leave tomorrow to compete at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas, March 26-27 and at the Tapatio Springs Invitational hosted by Baylor University in San Antonio, Texas, March 28-29.

The Red Raiders will play against an intense 14-team field at the Betsy Rawls Longhorn Invitational consisting of No. 2 Duke, No. 3 Tulsa, No. 4 Texas, No. 5 Oklahoma State, No. 6 Ohio State, No. 7 Arizona, No. 10 Vanderbilt, No. 22 Northwestern, No. 25 TCU, No. 28 Oklahoma, No. 55 Missouri, SMU and UNLV.

The women's team will put its rankings on the line again after falling from the No. 41 position earlier in the spring season to No. 51, one spot short of the top 50 women's golf teams in the country. Tech has struggled in its spring campaign finishing in a tie for 13th at the Central Regional Invitational in February and in a tie for 16th at the Verizon "Mo" Morial this month.

Tech will tee off Monday on the par 71 Barton Creek Palmer-Lakeside Course in Austin, Texas, starting with the first 18 holes at 8 a.m. and the second round of 18 holes starting at 1 p.m. Final round of play will resume Tue., March 26 with an 8 a.m. shotgun start.
