LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech's 49th-ranked women's golf team hits the road again this weekend for the 12th Annual MountainView Collegiate Invitational being hosted by the University of Colorado at the MountainView Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz.
The Lady Raiders will be looking to rebound from its ninth place finish last week in the Northern Migration Tournament. Tech's ninth place finish in the tournament dropped the squad from its No. 44 national ranking to its current ranking of No. 49.
"Obviously we got off to a bad start last week and never were really able to recover from that," said Texas Tech head coach JoJo Robertson. I was impressed with the play of Jackie (Smith) last week and she will be making the trip again this week. It's going to be important for us to get off to a quick start and not put ourselves in a hole like we did last Florence (Ariz.). I think we will be ready for the challenge."
The MountainView Invitational is a two-day tournament that will feature 18 teams and 96 total players. The 54-hole tournament will get underway on Friday with 36 holes and will conclude with the final 18 on Saturday.
