Women's Golf in Arizona for Mountain Collegiate

LUBBOCK, TEXAS - The Texas Tech women's golf team, after its fifth top five finish of the season, heads to Tucson, Ariz., to play in the Mountain View Collegiate held at the Mountain View Golf Course.

The Mountain View Collegiate has 19 teams playing with No. 19 San Jose State, No. 20 Louisville, No. 32 UNLV and No. 38 Colorado headlining the field. Tech is ranked No. 49 according to Golfweek in this week's poll.

The Lady Raiders finished fifth at the UNLV Invitational. It was the fourth time this season the squad had finished in the top five. Ulrika Van Niekerk led the way with her first top 10 finish of the spring, placing tied for sixth.

Rosalyn Kim will try to continue her steady play. She recorded her second-straight top 10 finish tying for 10th and has a 76.3 average this spring. Megan Dowdy finished tied for 13th shooting a low of 71 in the final round of the UNLV Invitational.

Robyn Scott played extremely well in her final two rounds of the tournament. Her stroke average for the tournament was a 77.6. Jackie Smith will be the fifth member this week. She played in the Aztec Invitational and shot a low round of 77.

The first two rounds of the Mountain View Classic will be played on Saturday starting at 8 a.m. (MST) and the final round starts at 8 a.m. (MST) on Sunday.
