HONOLULU - Jamie Vannoy and Jennifer Newhouse both carded rounds of 76 Wednesday as the Texas Tech women's golf team jumped two spaces to seventh after two rounds of the Dr. Thompson Rainbow Tournament at the Olomana Golf Links.

Texas Tech's two-round score of 631 is 46 strokes off the pace of tournament leader Pepperdine (585). Southern California is second at 592, followed by Arizona at 594 and Oklahoma State at 621. Oklahoma and Hawaii are tied for fifth at 630.

Vannoy and Newhouse are tied for 17th individually with two-round totals totals of 156 (12 over). Melanie Hunt is 14 over and tied for 27th, while Priscillia Hunt is tied for 38th at plus 17 and Stephanie Dukes is tied for 46th at plus 21.

The tournament concludes with the third and final round on Thursday morning.
