LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech fans are encouraged to be a part of the excitement and attend the 2009 Big 12 Women's Golf Championship, April 24-26, at Tech's own Rawls Course.

All 12 teams will tee off beginning at 8 a.m. on Friday's opening round with the Lady Raiders expected to be among one of the first groups on the course.

All fans will be admitted to the event free of charge and will be able to walk among the gallery from hole to hole as Tech aims for its first Big 12 Championship in school history.

The Lady Raiders currently enter the week as the fourth-highest ranked team in the conference, according to Golf Week, trailing only Colorado, Texas and the nation's fifth-ranked school, Oklahoma State.
