LUBBOCK, TEXAS - The Big 12 Conference honored 43 student-athletes who have been named to the 2001 Women's Golf Academic All-Big 12 Teams, which include Texas Tech's Stephanie Dukes, Jennifer Newhouse, Priscilla Hunt and Allison Louth.

Stephanie Dukes and Jennifer Newhouse were first-team selections. Dukes is a sophomore from Fort Worth, Texas with an undecided major. Newhouse is a junior marketing major from Bryan, Texas. Priscilla Hunt and Allison Louth were second-team selections. Hunt, a senior from Phoenix, Arizona, is majoring in international business. Louth, a zoology major, is a senior from Victoria, Texas.

To qualify student-athletes must maintain a 3.0 grade point average or higher either cumulative or the two previous semesters and must have participated in 60 percent of the team's scheduled contests. Freshmen or transfers are not eligible in their first year of academic residence. First-team members consist of those who have maintained a 3.2 or better grade-point average, while the second-team are those who have a 3.0 to 3.19 GPA.
