Texas Tech Ranked 23rd in Latest MasterCard Women's Golf Poll|

LUBBOCK, Texas - The Texas Tech University women's golf team moved up to 23rd in this week's MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings. Tech was 25th in the previous rankings. The Red Raiders are one of six Big 12 teams ranked along with No. 10 Texas A&M, No. 11 Oklahoma State, No. 14 Texas, No. 29 Missouri and No. 34 Nebraska.
Tech, in addition to Big 12 champ Texas A&M, OSU, Texas and Missouri, is preparing for the NCAA West Regional Championships, scheduled for May 7-9 at the par 73, 6,093-yard Stanford University Golf Course.
Junior All-America candidate Brooke Lowrance (Snyder, Texas) remained the highest ranked Big 12 golfer at No. 26. Lowrance finished in a tie for seventh in last weekend's Big 12 Conference Championships. Freshman Priscillia Hunt (Phoenix), who tied for 10th at the Big 12 tourney, is ranked at No. 60.
The MasterCard Collegiate Golf Rankings, which are administered by the College Golf Foundation and compiled by Golfstat, are determined by a computerized point system formula, based strictly on performance. The next date for release of the rankings will be Wednesday, May 6.
