LUBBOCK, Texas - Many of the biggest names in women's golf will soon converge on the Interlachen Country Club in Edina, Minn. to tee off the 2008 Women's U.S. Open. Among those will be former Texas Tech golfer and current assistant Rawls Course pro Laurie Brower, who will tee off competition June 26.

Brower, who played at Tech from 1982-85, qualified for the event after placing second at a sectional qualifier at the Eastern Hills Country Club in Garland, Texas back on June 9. She posted a two-round total of 146 to qualify.
