July 8, 2014

LUBBOCK, Texas - Texas Tech redshirt sophomore Victoria Uresti and six former Lady Raider golfers tee off Tuesday in the first round of the Texas Women's Open at Rolling Hills Country Club in Arlington, Texas.

Joining Uresti are former players Tracy Stanford (2007-08), Gabby Dominguez (2010-13), Tamara Autry (2001), Katie Grady (2011), Jackie Smith (2008-10) and Stephanie Smith (2007) in the 135-player, championship field.

The par-71 Rolling Hills course will play at 6,200 yards and will test players' long and short games with tight fairways and several greenside bunkers.

This will be the second time for Dominguez to compete at the Women's Open as a professional. She finished in a tie for 18th last summer (72-82--154) while Jackie Smith finished tied for third (70-76--146).

The tournament will conclude on Wednesday after 36 holes.
